Red Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. cucumbers
    2 c. pickling lime
    8 1/2 qt. water
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Peel and slice cucumbers.
    Soak cucumbers in pickling lime and 8 1/2 quarts water for 24 hours.
    Rinse well and soak in cold water for 3 hours.
