Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 c. shortening
2 well beaten eggs
1 1/3 c. cooled coffee
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender or fork until coarse crumbs.
Reserve 3/4 cup of this mix for top.
To rest, add well beaten eggs and coffee.
