Swedish Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 T. butter or margarine
    2 T. green pepper, finely chopped
    2 T. minced onion
    1-10 1/2 oz. can chicken rice soup
    1-10 1/2 oz. can condensed tomato soup
    1 c. water
    2 slices bread, shredded
    1/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 egg
    1 t. salt
    1 lb. hamburger
Preparation
    Melt butter or margarine in deep skillet.
    Add onion and pepper and cook until tender.
    Stir in rice and tomato soups and water; heat to boiling: turn heat down and simmer.
    Make 32 small meat balls with remaining ingredients.
    Brown meat balls and drop into simmering sauce.
    Cook slowly 45 to 60 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
    Serve at once.
    Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
