Bucket Of Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. boiling water
1 c. shortening
2 c. 100% bran (may use 40%)
4 c. All-Bran
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. all-purpose flour (can be part wheat flour)
4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix boiling water and shortening and let stand. Add remaining ingredients and stir all together. Can add raisins, nuts, dates, currants, etc. Bake in muffin pans lined with baking cups in a 400\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes. Mixture will keep for 6 weeks in the refrigerator in a covered container. Makes 4 to 6 dozen muffins.
