Heavenly Hot Fudge Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    4 sq. unsweetened chocolate or 3/4 c. cocoa and an extra 1/2 stick oleo
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tall can evaporated milk (1 2/3 c.)
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt margarine and chocolate in microwave or double boiler. Gradually stir in the sugar, 4 tablespoons at a time, being sure the sugar is completely moistened after each addition.
    The mixture will be very thick and quite dry.
    Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and evaporated milk.
    Add milk slowly and stir until it is a satiny smooth sauce.
    Do not boil!
    Add vanilla.
    Sauce will be thick and if you desire a thinner sauce, stir in an additional tablespoon or two of milk.
    Keep refrigerated.
