Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour, sifted
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2/3 c. molasses
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. ginger
    1/3 c. butter
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder, soda, spices and salt together. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add egg, molasses and milk, mixing well.
    Add dry ingredients; beat until smooth. Pour into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan; bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
