Cherry Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. (7 1/4 oz. each) pitted dates
    1 lb. dried, candied pineapple
    2 jars (16 oz. each) cherries, drained
    18 oz. (5 1/2 c.) pecan halves
    6 eggs
    1/3 c. dark rum
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
Preparation
    Grease pan (tube or two 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans).
    Add flour, baking powder and salt into bowl and mix.
    Add fruit and mix, then beat eggs and rum together and pour over fruit.
    Mix well and bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
    Brush with glaze.
