1 unbaked (10-inch) double pie crust
5 to 7 c. ripe blackberries
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Make pastry.
Roll half thin and use it to line 12-inch deep baking pan or dish.
Roll other half thin and cut into strips.
Put berries, 1 cup sugar and water into a saucepan.
Cook until berries are soft.
Mix flour and 1/4 cup sugar and add to berries.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
Pour into pan. Dot with butter.
Cover with remainder of pastry strips.
Bake at 425\u00b0 in preheated oven until pastry is brown.
Serve warm or cold.
