Beef Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. olive oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    1/2 Tbsp. celery salt
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Add the onions and the garlic. Cook until tender, or about 5 minutes. Add the beef and fry until browned.
    Add the other ingredients. Simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Makes 3 1/2 pints.
    Keep on a low flame.
