Spicy Pumpkin Cookie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. cooked pumpkin
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1 c. raisins, chopped
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar gradually and continue beating until light.
    Add eggs and pumpkin and blend well.
    Add vanilla and lemon extract.
    Add raisins, nuts and dry ingredients that have been sifted together; mix well.
    Chill dough; drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 15 minutes.
    Will make 4 dozen cookies.
