Baked Limas And Sausage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried lima beans
    1 large green pepper
    4 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato soup
    1/2 lb. fresh pork sausage
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. white sugar
    1 1/2 c. tomato juice
Preparation
    Pick over beans, cover with cold water.
    In the morning, drain, cover with cold water and simmer until tender.
    Put beans in casserole, add cut up green pepper, sugar, salt and sausage.
    Heat the tomato soup with juice and pour over the beans.
    If the dish looks a little dryish, add more tomato juice.
    Cover and bake at 275\u00b0 about 5 to 6 hours.
