Venison Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. venison steak, in 1/2-inch cubes
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 lb. ham
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 qt. water
    1 tsp. onion soup mix
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1/4 tsp. rosemary
    6 c. mashed potatoes
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Combine salt, pepper and flour in a bag.
    Add meat cubes; shake to coat.
    In large skillet, melt butter; brown venison and ham over medium heat.
    Add water, soup mix, parsley and rosemary. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, adding more water if necessary to keep meat submerged.
    Whip together potatoes and eggs.
    Spread 4 cups of potato mixture over bottom and sides of oiled 8 x 14 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 5 minutes, then fill with venison mixture and top with remaining potatoes. Bake 30 minutes more.
