Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. bowl lettuce, shredded
    1/4 to 1/2 c. celery, cut up
    1/4 to 1/2 c. onions, diced
    1/4 to 1/2 c. green peppers
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 to 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    6 to 8 slices bacon
    4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
Preparation
    Fill
    a
    2
    quart
    casserole dish half full of shredded lettuce.
    Add in layers
    of
    celery, onions, green peppers and peas
    (thawed,
    but
    not
    cooked).\tAdd mayonnaise and scatter sugar over it.
    Next, add cheese.
    Fry bacon and break up over the salad.
    Add sliced eggs.
    Cover and let stand overnight.
