Brown (Raisin) Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box raisins
    3 c. water
    6 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cook raisins in 3 cups water in a pan with a tight lid for 10 minutes.
    Cool.
    Add vegetable shortening, eggs and vanilla.
    Mix together dry ingredients and add liquid mixture.
    Mix until thoroughly mixed.
    Grease and dust with flour, 6 mini loaf pans or 6 cans (like soup cans).
    Pour mixture into pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour.
    Makes 6 small loaves.
