Scalloped Sweet Potatoes With Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large sweet potatoes
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    2 c. peeled, thinly sliced sour apples
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Boil sweet potatoes until you can just stick a fork in them. Do not overcook because they will be cooked again.
    Run under cold water.
    Peel and slice; they should make about 3 cups.
    Place alternate layers of sweet potatoes and apples in buttered dish. Sprinkle each layer with sugar, salt, cinnamon and grated orange rind.
    Dot top with butter.
    Bake in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for one hour.
