Butter Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans butter beans and broth
    1 small onion, diced
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    2 carrots, diced
    2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 medium potatoes, diced
    2 large (1/2-inch thick) slices ham, diced
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/8 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. parsley flakes
Preparation
    Prepare all veggies first.
    Into 4 to 6-quart soup pot put beans and broth along with chicken broth and water.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Bring to boiling point, reduce heat and simmer about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Serve with tossed green salad and fresh fruit cup.
