Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. lean ground beef
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1 qt. water
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    1 tsp. ground oregano
    1 tsp. cayenne pepper
    6 Tbsp. yellow corn meal
    6 Tbsp. chili powder
    3 tsp. salt
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 tsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. paprika
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Heat
    olive oil; add ground meat.
    Sear over high heat, stirring
    constantly,
    until meat is gray.\tAdd water and cook covered at a bubbly simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
    Add all remaining ingredients,
    except
    flour and meal.
    Cook another 30 minutes at same
    bubbly simmer.
    Next add thickening mixed with 1 cup cold water.
    Cook 5 minutes longer to determine if more water is needed for desired consistency.
