Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sirloin steak
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1 small green onion, chopped
    2 tomatoes cut into wedges
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cut sirloin into 1/8 inch strips.
    Mix soy sauce, ginger and garlic.
    Marinate beef in sauce in refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours. Brown meat and sauce in large skillet.
    Reduce heat to low and add onion and tomatoes.
    Simmer for 2 hours.
    Turn heat to medium and add cornstarch and water.
    Remove
    from heat when gravy thickens. Serve over white rice.
    Serves 2 to 3.
