Cream Of Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes (undrained)
    1 c. chicken broth
    1/4 c. margarine
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. instant onion flakes
    1/8 tsp. soda
    2 c. heavy cream
    1 (No. 303) can crushed tomatoes
    1 (No. 303) can tomato sauce
    1 c. half and half
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. garlic granules
    1 tsp. ground basil leaves
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat thoroughly. Do not boil.
    Makes about 4 servings.
    For even better flavor, add some cheese, crumbled up bacon and sauteed onions.
