Sour Cream Chive Biscuits - cooking recipe

1/3 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. unbleached flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. dairy sour cream
1 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. chives, snipped
Preparation

Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
Cut shortening into flour, baking powder and salt with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in sour cream and chives.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead lightly.
Roll 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with floured 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
