Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1/4 c. milk
    1 egg
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Stir together in a large bowl:
    flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and walnuts.
    Beat together egg, bananas, milk and melted shortening.
    Add all at once to dry ingredients.
    Stir only until all ingredients are moist.
    Pour in a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 65 minutes.
    Cool in pan for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
