Potato Croquettes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large (2 1/2 lb.) potatoes, peeled and cut in thick slices
    1 1/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs
    1/4 tsp. salt or to taste
    1/4 tsp. coarse ground pepper
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    water
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 eggs
    1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. chopped parsley or parsley flakes
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in enough water to cover.
    Drain and mash.
    Add butter, 1 egg and 1/4 cup bread crumbs; mix well.
    Let stand until cool enough to handle.
