White Christmas Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
    1/2 c. pineapple, drained and cut into small pieces
    1 c. nut meats
    5 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar.
    Add egg yolks one at a time; beat well.
    Add raisins, cherries, pineapple and nut meats.
    Sift together flour and baking powder.
    Add 1 cup milk and 1 cup orange juice alternately.
    Lastly fold in egg whites beaten stiff.
    Pour into prepared pan.
    Bake in slow oven at 275\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 about 2 1/2 hours.
