Baked Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes, drained
    1 c. toasted bread
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter
    onions, diced
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
    chopped almonds (optional)
Preparation
    Mix toasted bread into tomato pulp.
    Blend in remaining ingredients, except bread crumbs.
    Pour into buttered baking dish and cover with bread crumbs.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Yields 4 servings.
