1 c. plain corn meal
1 c. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. oil
3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Beat eggs, milk and shortening in a separate bowl.
Add to dry ingredients; beat lightly until thoroughly mixed.
Pour into greased muffin, cornstick or square pan.
Bake in preheated oven (450\u00b0) for 15 to 20 minutes.
