Hearty Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. smoked or Italian sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 small cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. minced onion
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 c. shredded or diced cabbage
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. marjoram or Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. caraway seed
4 c. chicken stock
2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 potato, peeled and diced
2 Tbsp. flour, mixed with 2 Tbsp. cold water
1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation

Lightly saute sausage, garlic, onion and bell pepper in the oil. Stir in the cabbage and simmer until it begins to wilt. Stir in the seasonings. Add the chicken stock, vinegar and potatoes. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes until potatoes are tender. Quickly stir in the flour mixture and sour cream. Simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Serves 6 to 8.
