Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sifted White Lily flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/3 c. molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. milk
3 c. quick oatmeal
Preparation

Sift flour, cinnamon, ginger, salt and soda together and set aside.
Cream sugars and shortening together.
Add egg, molasses, vanilla and milk and combine thoroughly with creamed ingredients. Blend in flour mixture.
Stir in oatmeal until all ingredients are well blended.
