Christmas Fruit Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    3/4 c. candied cherries, chopped
    3/4 c. candied pineapple, chopped
    3/4 c. chopped dates
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream sugar and oleo; add egg and beat well.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture along with buttermilk. Stir in fruits, dates and nuts.
    Drop teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 10 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven.
