Key Largo Lime Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. fresh lime juice
    4 egg yolks
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. grated lime peel
    2 drops green food coloring (optional)
    1 (9-inch) pie shell (graham cracker)
    1/2 c. lightly toasted coconut
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan over low heat.
    Whisk in sugar, lime juice, egg yolks, eggs and lime peel; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
    Stir in coloring.
    Let cool to room temperature and pour into pie shell.
    Top with toasted coconut.
