Cherry Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    30 vanilla wafers, crushed
    1/2 stick butter
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 small carton Cool Whip
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Combine wafer crumbs and butter.
    Reserve a small amount for topping.
    Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with remaining crumbs.
    Blend cream cheese and sugar.
    Add Cool Whip to cheese mixture.
    Put cheese mixture over crust.
    Spread cherry pie filling over cheese. Sprinkle crumbs and nuts over top.
    Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours. Yields 15 servings.
