Banana Bread - cooking recipe

3/4 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. mashed, ripe bananas (about 3 large)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar together.
Beat eggs until light. Add to creamed mixture.
Add mashed bananas and buttermilk, mixing well.
Sift together the flour, soda and salt; add.
Add nuts and vanilla.
Bake in well-greased loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch) in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours.
