Yummy Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. young, small green beans
4 qt. boiling water
2 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 large garlic clove, crushed
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

String the beans; wash well and boil rapidly in salted water uncovered until barely tender and firm (taste them to make sure). Drain and run under cold water to stop the cooking.
Pat dry. Melt butter and add garlic; cook gently until softened.
Do not brown.
Pour over beans and taste for seasoning.
May be made ahead.
To reheat, put in microwave for 2 minutes on High or heat in saucepan over low heat.
