Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 c. cooked prunes (about 1 lb.)
    3 large eggs
    2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar gradually.
    Cream until fluffy. Blend in well beaten eggs.
    Sift flour, salt, soda, baking powder and spices together.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk.
    Blend in prunes.
    Bake in well-greased and floured pans (three 8-inch pans or two 9-inch pans, 1 1/4-inch deep).
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
