Mammy'S Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large eggs
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 lb. cherries
    1 lb. glazed pineapple
    4 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 oz. vanilla
    1/2 oz. lemon
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Add well beaten eggs and blend well.
    Chop nuts and mix in part of flour.
    Sift remaining flour and baking powder; fold into egg butter mixture.
    Add flavorings and mix well.
    Add fruit and nuts.
    Mix by hand.
    Put in greased tube pan.
    Place in cold oven.
    Bake for 3 hours at 275\u00b0.
    If you use small pans, cut baking time.
    Doubles well.
