Oreo Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 1/4 lb. Oreo cookies
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
    12 oz. Cool Whip
    chocolate syrup
    chopped pecans or chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Grind cookies; reserve 1 cup.
    Add melted butter to remaining cookies.
    Spread into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Add ice cream, then top with chocolate syrup.
    Add Cool Whip; top with reserved cookies and, finally, the nuts.
