Grandmother'S Bread And Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. cold water
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    6 to 7 c. flour, sifted
    2 Tbsp. butter, softened
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
    Add sugar; stir and set aside.
    Dissolve shortening in boiling water in a large mixing bowl.
    Add cold water and eggs.
    Blend in salt and sugar and add yeast to this mixture.
    Beat in 3 cups of flour until mixture is smooth.
    Gradually add enough flour to make a soft, workable dough.
