Chocolate Cookie Cake And Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 Tbsp. Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 c. water
1/2 c. Crisco
1 stick butter
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 to 2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation

Place flour, soda and sugar in medium mixing bowl.
In a saucepan, mix chocolate syrup, water, Crisco and butter.
When saucepan ingredients have come to a boil, slowly pour over the dry ingredients and mix.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour into a 16 x 11-inch pan and bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. While cake is still warm, poke holes with a fork, cake tester, toothpick, etc., and pour icing over the cake.
Freezes nicely. Cut serving pieces small as cake is pretty rich.
