Chicken Or Pork Adobo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. pork, chopped into 1-inch cubes or 1 regular cut-up frying chicken
    1 piece garlic, smashed
    1 c. vinegar
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2-inch fresh ginger, sliced
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    shoyu or salt to taste
Preparation
    Season chicken or pork with salt and pepper.
    Place in saucepan and add ginger, garlic and vinegar.
    Let simmer for 1 hour on low heat or until tender.
    If water is needed, add 1/4 cup water.
    Add more salt or shoyu to taste, if necessary.
    When meat is tender, saute with vegetable oil until browned.
    Serve hot.
