White House Pecan Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1 c. dark Karo syrup
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 fluted, unbaked (9-inch) pie shell
2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Allow butter to stand in medium mixing bowl until very soft. Add sugar, syrup, salt and vanilla.
Beat until thoroughly blended. Add eggs and beat gently just until blended.
Fold in pecans.
Pour into pastry shell.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 40 to 45 minutes or until top is toasted brown and filling is set in center.
Makes 1 pie.
