Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 oz. red food coloring
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

Cream the Crisco, sugar and eggs.
Sift 3 times flour, cocoa and salt.
Add alternately to creamed mixture with buttermilk, then add vanilla and food coloring.
Beat well.
Fold in soda dissolved with vinegar.
Bake in 2 (8-inch) pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool on cake racks.
