1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. soft butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
Preparation

Cream sugar, salt and butter.
Beat eggs, lemon rind and vanilla into creamed mixture until light and fluffy.
Sift together flour and baking powder.
Gradually stir into creamed ingredients.
