Bunuelos - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
canola oil for frying
Preparation

Combine flour, 4 teaspoons sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine eggs and milk, beating well.
Add egg liquid to dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
Place dough on floured surface and knead, adding flour until very smooth.
Divide into 16 balls, place in bowl, cover with towel and let stand for 15 to 20 minutes.
Combine 1 cup sugar and cinnamon.
Roll balls to paper thickness, retain circle shape.
Carefully fry circles, one at a time, in medium hot oil, until golden brown.
Drain on paper towel.
Immediately sprinkle with sugar mixture.
Yield: 1 1/4 dozen.
