Chocolate Marshmallow Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 c. shortening or butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    18 large marshmallows, cut in half
    36 pecan halves
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, soda, salt and cocoa.
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar, blending thoroughly.
    Add egg; beat well. Add flour mixture and milk alternately, beating after each addition.
    Add nuts and vanilla; mix well.
    Drop dough from teaspoon 2 inches apart on well-greased cookie sheet.
    Cookies will spread.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Top each cookie with a marshmallow half, cut side down, pushing down a little.
    Return to oven; bake 2 minutes longer.
    Cool on rack, then frost.
    Top with pecan half.
