Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sifted flour or 1/4 c. cornstarch
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. sweet milk, scalded
    3 slightly beaten egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar and salt; gradually add milk. Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Cook 2 minutes and remove from heat. Add small amount of egg yolks; stir into remaining hot mixture. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add butter and vanilla; cool slightly. Line Pyrex baking dish with vanilla wafers, layer of bananas, mixture, then layer of bananas, ending with vanilla wafers.
