Refrigerator Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 heaping c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs, beaten
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. 100% Bran Buds
    1 qt. buttermilk
    4 c. 40% Bran Flakes
    5 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    5 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over Bran Buds and set aside to cool. Cream Crisco and sugar; add beaten eggs, buttermilk and cooked bran mixture.
    Add Bran Flakes, soda and salt.
    Fold in flour just until all is moistened.
    Place in refrigerator until ready to use. (Stores 6 to 8 weeks in refrigerator.)
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes in greased muffin tins.
