Frosty Strawberry Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pt. strawberries or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, partially thawed
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. margarine, melted
2 egg whites
2/3 c. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. Cool Whip
scant 1/2 c. nuts, chopped fine
Preparation

Stir together flour, brown sugar, nuts and butter.
Spread in shallow pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Combine egg whites, sugar, berries and lemon juice.
Beat at high speed to stiff peaks (about 10 minutes).
Fold in Cool Whip.
Spoon over baked crust and freeze 6 hours or overnight.
Cut into squares.
Makes 24.
