Finnish Fried Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    1/2 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. heavy cream
    2 Tbsp. brandy or whiskey
    1 Tbsp. lemon rind
    1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
    2 c. flour
    salad oil
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks for 20 minutes, until light and lemon colored. Add sugar gradually; beat for 15 minutes.
    Add cream, whiskey, rind and cardamom.
    Add flour and mix.
    Make a stiff dough.
    Store in refrigerator overnight.
    Turn dough out on lightly floured board and roll out to a 1/8-inch thickness.
    Cut in diamond or other shapes.
    Fry cookies until light brown in deep oil, heated to 360\u00b0. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
