Whipped Turnip Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. turnips
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    dash of pepper
    1 c. soft breadcrumbs
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Cook turnips and mash.
    Add butter, sugar, salt and pepper; beat with mixer.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well until soft and fluffy.
    Stir in breadcrumbs and lemon juice.
    Pour into casserole.
    If preparing ahead, cool and chill.
    Bake, uncovered, in 375\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes until top is slightly brown.
