Chinese New Year Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 fryer, cut into small pieces
    garlic salt to taste
    cornstarch
    2 eggs, beaten
    oil
    1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. chicken stock
    1/2 c. wine vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/4 c. catsup
Preparation
    Sprinkle chicken with garlic salt; roll in cornstarch.
    Dip in eggs.
    Cook in a small amount of oil in a frying pan until brown; place in a shallow casserole.
    Mix monosodium glutamate, sugar, stock, vinegar, salt, soy sauce and catsup; pour over chicken. Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until chicken is tender.
