Winter Squash Bisque - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium acorn squash
    3 (14 oz.) cans chicken broth
    3/4 tsp. ground ginger
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 1/2 c. half and half or light cream
    3/4 c. dairy sour cream (optional)
    12 small fresh thyme sprigs (optional)
Preparation
    Halve squash and remove seeds.
    Place squash halves, cut side down, on a baking dish.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Turn cut sides up.
    Bake, covered, 20 to 25 minutes or until squash is tender.
